Our Hub works with those in trouble, providing early intervention to those who are in crisis, leaving care, missing from home, or with substance misuse or mental health problems – services support people no matter what their situation, and have demonstrated a high success rate.Our Merton Risk and Resilience Service is an integrated service, focused on mitigating risk, and promoting resilience, in children and young people (C&YP). Our service aims to reduce the harm to children and young people (aged 18 and under), within the Child Exploitation (CE) and Missing service area, and C&YP (aged 24 and under), within the substance misuse service area.Job DescriptionMerton Risk and Resilience is an integrated service that focuses on mitigating risks and promoting resilience in children and young people (CYP), who are going missing from home, experiencing child exploitation (CE), or using substances. The service aims to reduce harm, by using a person-centred and strengths-based approach – identifying their needs, establishing co-production of goals and care plans, and providing targeted and specialist evidence-based interventions.You will be joining a supportive and dedicated team, who are driven to build and develop the self-esteem, confidence, and resilience of young people – reducing the potential harm, and enabling young people to lead healthy, happy, and productive lives.The role of Risk and Resilience Practitioner has responsibility for the direct delivery of the following elements of Catch22\’s Risk and Resilience service, in the London Borough of Merton:Return Home Interviews – for children and young people who are missing from home.Child Exploitation Services – for young people who are being exploited, sexually and/or criminally.Specialist Substance Misuse Service.Smoking and Vaping ServiceMain Duties & AccountabilitiesLead on Smoking and Vaping Prevention Service – based on \’Stopping the Start across all ages covered by the core service, ages 11- 24.Provided evidence-based approach, to stop smoking services for children and young people aged 11-24 using nice guidelines.Provide education and delivery service to support CYP who may be considering, vaping, or smoking, which includes creating a network of Smoke Free Generation Ambassadors who can signpost and support young people to the appropriate information and services.Undertake Return Home Interviews for missing C&YP, when required.Work with C&YP to identify and inform SMART care plans and pathways, undertaking direct work, such as delivering one to one intervention.Planning and delivering interventions, in accordance with commissioned contract\’s spec requirements, and Catch22 key performance indicators (KPI\’s), policies, and procedures – ensuring the effective use of resources and the achievement of targets.This post will involve travel across the borough, and occasional evening and weekend working.Please click here to view the full Job Description.Qualifications5 GCSE\’s (grade C or above), or equivalent.Skills, knowledge, and experience relevant for the job.Additional InformationSalary: Up to Β£29,000 per annum (depending on knowledge and experience)Hours of work: Full time, 37 hours per week*Contract: PermanentLocation: Civic Centre, Morden Library, London Road, Town Centre, Morden SM4 5DX*This role requires access to a car, and a full driving licence.*Catch22 supports flexible working, and we are ambassadors of a positive work-life balance – any hours worked outside of regular contracted hours will be accrued as Toil, and wherever possible, these are taken at the member of staff\’s convenience.*This is a community-based role, however we are open to discussing flexibility for remote working days where service delivery allows.BenefitsDiscounted shopping opportunities, with over 1,400 retailers – through our Rewards Hub.Access to a 24/7 GP helpline – including online video consultations, and electronic private prescriptions.Employee Assistance Programme – a free, confidential service that offers expert advice, information, and counselling, for all staff and their dependents (24/7, 365 days a year).Access to a network of trained Mental Health First Aiders, across the organisation.Cycle to work scheme.28 days annual leave (+ 8 public holidays) – increasing to 33 days after five years.Matching employer pension contributions of 4%.If you would like to meet the team and/or visit the service prior to applying, please email Kelly Anderson, Service Manager: kelly.anderson@catch-22.org.uk.A additional opportunity to support the Catch22, County Lines support and rescue service.
