Overview
Solutions Delivery Lead β Defence role at Energy Job Search. This is a Leatherhead-based position with hybrid and flexible working practices. The successful candidate will regularly attend Leatherhead HQ, with occasional travel to project and client sites mainly in the UK.
The Role
KBR\βs UK Defence team focuses on three main market-facing solutions into the Defence Sector: a Major Project Partner, a Mission/Ops Support Partner and a Complex Transformation Partner. We combine our track record of solving complex problems in challenging locations to support the UK MOD at home and overseas, delivering the most critical defence outcomes. We aim to innovate to increase customer value, with emphasis on technology, data and analytics to underpin our solutions. We are seeking a Solutions Delivery Lead to sit between Business Development and Operations to ensure what is sold can be delivered, that the solution meets (or exceeds) customer expectations, and that it achieves the expected revenue and profitability thresholds. The role may mobilise successful bids and deliver for the first 6 months while a permanent team is built; remaining in a delivery role is an option if preferred.
Responsibilities
- Work with the Business Development team to design a feasible delivery solution which supports the bid strategy
- Collaborate across KBR to understand lessons from related or similar delivery projects
- Collaborate with Project Managers and Business Functions within the UK\βs Defence and Nuclear Technology Solutions (DNTS) and wider KBR to identify available resources for project execution and determine gaps
- Support and conduct market and supplier analysis to inform partnership decisions and build a winning solution
- Support the Business Development lead to build and maintain customer intimacy
- Establish strong relationships with critical stakeholders, developing engagement methods and sales leads
- Build and maintain a robust network across clients and partners, proactively identifying growth opportunities
What We Need
- Experience of taking sales concepts through to creating deliverable, profitable solutions aligned to a strategy
- Experience in supporting the development of commercial solutions β traditional and innovative
- Experience in supporting the creation of a supply chain ecosystem to support project delivery
- A deep understanding of the Defence environment (Gov and Industry) and its domestic and overseas operations
- An existing Defence network
- Excellent stakeholder and relationship management skills
- Excellent leadership and management skills
- Ability to secure MOD security clearances
- A minimum of 2 days per week in Leatherhead if not travelling
- Flexible to travel nationally/internationally (up to 25%)
Technical Skills
- Understanding of Business Development & Sales Strategy, including identifying growth opportunities, crafting business strategies, and converting leads into contracts
- Proven understanding of solution architecture, service integration and systems integration concepts
- Market Research & Data Analysis to inform strategic decisions
- Broad capability with focus on logistics, PMO and delivery partner experience
