NES Fircroft are supporting a key O&G client in Aberdeen, with a ROV Project Engineer role on a long term contract basis.The primary purpose is to support the project manager and coordinate with the client and vendorโs respecting processes & protocols, responsible for deliverables within the defined schedule, including the preparation, writing, and updating of documentation.This will be a 12 month PAYE contract, working full time hours (37.5) per week and after initial training, will work a 3/2 hybrid shift pattern.Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Complete documentation/manuals associated with newbuild Subsea / ROV systems & EquipmentReview procedures and drawings in order to ensure practicality from an ROV operations point of viewAwareness and understanding of our client\’s current requirements and, where applicable, the latest Industry Codes and Standards, including statutory rules and regulationsTo ensure that all activities are carried out in a manner consistent with policies on health, safety, quality and environmental mattersTo ensure that personal safety and that of others is not compromised or placed at riskRequired Experience and Skills:Completed engineering studies at a University or College level, or possess equivalent experienceStrong knowledge of ROV offshore operations, in particular subsea construction and remote interventionUp to date with ISO 13628-8 โDesign and operation of subsea production systems โ Part 8: Remotely Operated Vehicle (ROV) interfaces on subsea production systemsAbility to produce technical documentation for remotely operated subsea equipmentHave a good knowledge of ROV system design and system-level engineeringEfficient in Microsoft Office programs, MathCAD, and AutoCADAbility to work without supervision, coordinate varied resources, actively contribute, and possess problem-solving skillsEfficient communication skills at all levels and be confident in supervising other technical disciplinesWith over 90 years\’ combined experience, NES Fircroft (NES) is proud to be the world\’s leading engineering staffing provider spanning the Oil & Gas, Power & Renewables, Chemicals, Construction & Infrastructure, Life Sciences, Mining and Manufacturing sectors worldwide.
