Salary from £57,600 with up to 15% Annual Bonus and Single Healthcare. Permanent. Flexible/Hybrid Working Arrangements.
About the role
ScottishPower Renewables is developing offshore wind projects in the UK. The Development Team leads the Group\'s consent compliance and land project management for all UK offshore developments. This role manages offshore consent compliance activities, initially focused on the East Anglia Two project which is consented and moving into the execution phase. You will be a key member of the Offshore Development Team, delivering consent compliance project management support for offshore elements of large-scale offshore wind projects in the UK, reporting to the Senior Project Manager.
Future work may cover early phases of project development and consenting of offshore windfarms, pre-construction and construction activities, or any area of consenting/consent compliance for offshore windfarm projects covering onshore and offshore elements. You will lead and manage multiple multi-disciplinary teams, maintaining team morale during busy periods. Communication with regulators, local communities, and consultants is a key feature. The role will require frequent travel to various site locations. You will be involved in discharging consent and marine license conditions, defining and managing surveys and mitigation, administering consent commitments, obtaining new licenses/permissions, auditing project compliance with commitments, stakeholder engagement, budget control, and related activities.
Responsibilities
- Agree, manage and forecast budgets; produce work scopes and specifications for all project stages; ensure delivery on time and to budget.
- Manage consultants and legal inputs; contribute to commercial agreements and contracts; mitigate project risks; manage tender processes and assessments for surveys, studies and technical support; take forward recommendations for business approval.
- Identify and manage risks, issues and impacts; liaise with national government and regulatory authorities; ensure high quality and health and safety standards.
- Manage risk registers and contractual material; participate in kick-off and survey meetings to ensure obligations within consents are understood by contractors and staff.
- Complete and maintain records per document management procedures; provide monthly reporting and management support for consent/development processes and related contracts.
- Liaise with engineering packages, consultants and contractors to deliver design, surveys, consenting and construction; coordinate with Stakeholders, Environment and Land Managers.
- Direct ScottishPower Renewables representation in other development applications; manage consent compliance in line with schedules and budgets; lead and participate in regulator/stakeholder consultations and implement compliance improvements.
What You’ll Bring
- Educated to degree level or equivalent experience in Environmental Management, Planning or Environmental Engineering; professional qualification and relevant experience in development consent/consent compliance for major offshore infrastructure projects in the UK.
- Excellent written and verbal communication; IT literate with MS Office and project management software.
- Flexibility to travel around various UK locations when necessary.
