Project Construction Engineer (HVAC) – CON40151 at Energy Job Search. MEH Alliance – Altrad, Hinkley Point C.

Accountabilities

  • Provide and demonstrate a positive HSE leadership, building a strong and compliant HS&E culture throughout the construction life cycle of the project. Ensure all site activities are undertaken safely and responsibly, in accordance with the CDM Regulations.
  • Manage a set area within the Balance of Plant (BOP) on the HPC project.
  • Collaborate in a multi-disciplinary team to drive safe, on-time delivery of areas to the required quality and highest safety standards.
  • Ensure deliverables are produced on time to prevent construction delays.
  • Maintain Configuration Control across the scope Works Information.
  • Monitor compliance with applicable codes, QA/QC policies, performance standards, and specifications.
  • Raise technical queries and monitor progress.

Key Deliverables

  • Support BOP Building Leads to deliver the scope.
  • Provide weekly progress reports and updates to the programme.
  • Conduct productivity reviews and control of hours.
  • Develop construction method improvement plans.
  • Lead and foster a positive Nuclear Safety Culture.

Minimum Qualifications / Experience

  • Qualifications: Relevant degree in construction or mechanical or electrical engineering; OR HND/HNC in construction or mechanical or electrical engineering (desirable).
  • Minimum 5 years\’ experience in a Major Project Engineering (Construction) role (essential).
  • CCNSG or HSE MaPs Safety Passport.
  • Ability to obtain security clearance of BPSS or higher.
  • Professional accreditation (preferred).
  • Navis Works knowledge (desirable).
  • Knowledge of NEC ECC Contract (desirable).
  • Competent in basic IT packages.
  • Proven experience delivering large-scale construction or engineering projects safely.
  • Experience in heavy industry or nuclear sectors is beneficial; experience in Joint Venture/Alliance environments is advantageous.
  • Proven ability to rapidly learn and understand complex topics.
