Job Overview: Ability to solve complex problems and take a broad perspective to identify innovative solutions. Aspiring to be an expert within the company in offshore and subsea pipelines field. Anticipates internal and or external business challenges and/or regulatory issues; recommends process, product or service improvements. Good understanding on project management, project coordination, project execution, HAZOP, HAZID and PHA and broad knowledge of other disciplines within the functions. To uphold the Company's Vision, Mission, Policies and Values Statement and Corporate Goals.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the pipelines discipline design work assigned and complete within planned schedule and budget, in accordance with standards, MDR and project-specific procedures and to a high professional standard.
  • Plan, organise and direct all aspects of discipline execution on the assigned project including scope, deliverables, schedule, and all manpower resources - agree allocations with the Discipline / Engineering Manager.
  • Lead field layout optimisation from pipelines scope standpoint including jumper/expansion spools configurations by working with Operations/Installation teams.
  • Prepare, review, and approve reports and calculations to support different phases of the project, namely: conceptual, FEED and detailed design of the pipelines scope.
  • Optimise seabed intervention works, such as free span, and lateral buckling and walking mitigation works.
  • Support pipelines scope fabrication and offshore production welds ECA/FAC requirements.
  • Review and approve ECA, fracture mechanics and fatigue assessment works.
  • Review and approve pipelines lateral buckling and walking FE analyses using ABAQUS.
  • Direct, supervise and guide assigned engineers as a Lead Pipeline Engineer for pipeline engineering in a positive and encouraging manner.
  • Provide technical direction and review of drawings related to pipeline engineering prepared by CAD designers.
  • Review and approve vendor and subcontractor submittals, checking for compliance with project specifications and providing comments as necessary.
  • Support follow-on engineering, site queries and as-built deliverables.
  • Maintain responsibility for progress and productivity, identifying any required corrective action.
  • Act as project representative for the Discipline during meetings with Project Team, Client discipline lead and relevant agencies such as certifying authorities, auditors, third parties, etc.
  • Ensure interfaces are clearly identified and co-ordinate, interface with other disciplines to deliver the discipline engineering design for the Projects.
  • Participate in design reviews and verifications.
  • Provide CTRs for different work scopes and support bid proposals, technical queries, execution statements, schedule and man-hour estimates including key technical qualifications.
  • Participate in development and maintenance of Global Procedures, Guidelines Software, and Standards.
  • Carry out any other subsea engineering works as and when required by the Company.

Qualifications:

  • Essential Qualifications and Education: Degree in Engineering.
  • Software knowledge on the following: AutoPIPES, AGE Profile, Mathcad, DNV Proprietary Software (FATFREE, StableLines, etc.), Abaqus.
  • Desired/Preferred Qualifications: Chartered Engineer status.
