NOV Fluid Motion Solutions is a leading manufacturer specialising in Progressive Cavity Pumps and Mixer technology. As part of our mission to drive innovation and sustainability, we are looking to expand our team with a Continuous Improvement Manager who will play a key role in shaping the future of our business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and execution of the site-wide continuous improvement strategy, ensuring alignment with NOV's operational goals.
  • Collaborate with leadership to align CI initiatives with business objectives.
  • Report progress of CI initiatives to stakeholders and leadership.
  • Identify, plan, and implement Lean manufacturing projects (e.g., 5S, Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping, SMED) to improve efficiency and eliminate waste.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and problem-solving sessions to address process inefficiencies and quality issues.
  • Facilitate cross-functional workshops to develop and execute improvement plans.
  • Establish, monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) such as OEE, cycle time, scrap rate, and cost savings.
  • Train and mentor team members on Lean and Six Sigma principles.
  • Drive a culture of continuous improvement through coaching, engagement, and accountability at all levels of the organisation.

Qualifications & Skills

Required:

  • Experience in continuous improvement, lean manufacturing, or operational excellence roles, preferably in pumps, mechanical equipment, or precision engineering.
  • Experience in both manufacturing and office based (commercial/engineering) improvements.
  • Experience with both physical and cultural transformation.
  • Strong working knowledge of Hoshin Kanri (X Matrix), VSM, hosting Kaizen events, Lean, Six Sigma, and problem-solving tools.
  • Demonstrated success in leading site-wide continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and project management skills.
  • Ability to influence and hold people accountable for their actions throughout the organisation.
  • Green Belt Six Sigma.

Preferred:

  • Black Belt certification.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and manufacturing metrics (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
  • Experience working in a unionised or regulated manufacturing environment.

  • Strong leadership abilities and the capacity to inspire and engage others.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong attention to detail, with a focus on achieving sustainable improvements.
