The Project Controllers will help drive the execution of projects through the entire lifecycle from bid/concept phase to closure. You will have an established foundation in project control and be expected to execute project controller tasks when required. In addition, as a Lead Professional Band, you will be expected to be a domain expert in project analytics and be able to offer advice on best practice, support decisions based upon data and contribute to lean operations. Alternatively, you will be developing as a leader and influencer across the business through the facilitation of project reviews, driving best practices and constructively challenging EPM/PMs.
Essential Responsibilities
- Maintain the project integrated master schedule and facilitate earned value analysis/reporting.
- Provide project performance analysis, including the tracking of any deviations from the approved baseline.
- Budget and schedule management: Facilitate monthly program reviews including schedule/budget management, Conscience of the project in project management and adherence to PMO processes, perform scenario planning and three-point estimates to ensure program targets are being met.
- Technical leadership: Act as the expert around earned value management and support PM/EPM in interpreting EV results.
- Change Management: Facilitate in the accurate completion of BCRs and provide/present reports for the monthly program reviews. Mentor leads to distinguish variances compared to BCRs and archive program decisions made as part of the change management reviews.
- Risk Management: Facilitate risk management reviews and R&O workshops. Manage risk process and timely update of tools.
- Project Forecasts: Manage the monthly project forecast cycle to ensure accurate and timely updates are made including (% complete, dates, ETC). Work with PM/EPM to evaluate earned value reports and recommend corrective actions.
- Resource Management: Assist with coordinating project resource plans across multiple teams. Support resource gap analysis and scenario planning working with Subsection Managers and EPM/PM.
- Customer Management: Support PM/EPM with the decision where resources and processes to complete activities are discussed with the customer including IMS and milestones.
