As our new Fire Safety Officer at Dinorwig Power Station, you’ll play a crucial role in ensuring the safety of our people, assets, and operations while contributing to our mission of responsible energy management.
Summary Of What You Will Do
- Act as the authoritative lead for fire safety management across all First Hydro Company (FHC) premises
- Ensure compliance with fire safety legislation, standards, and ENGIE requirements
- Manage fire risk assessments and develop action plans to address identified issues
- Coordinate training and monitoring of the Fire Response Team members
- Investigate fire incidents and prepare comprehensive reports
- Liaise with planning teams, local building control, and fire authorities on fire precautions
- Assist in emergency preparedness, including coordinating exercises and updating response plans
What You Will Bring To The Role
- Fire safety engineer or professional with relevant certifications (e.g., NEBOSH Fire Safety certificate)
- Minimum of five years’ professional experience in fire safety or compliance roles
- Extensive knowledge of fire safety legislation and its industrial application
- Experience within power generation, construction, or similarly regulated environments
- Strong organizational, influencing, and communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint
- Self‑motivated with excellent problem‑solving abilities and attention to detail
Job Based In Dinorwig Power Station, with potential travel to other First Hydro Sites as required
