Health & Safety Advisor / Manager

Overview

Our client is delivering major MEP packages on a major new construction development in Somerset — a flagship multi‑billion‑pound manufacturing facility. We are seeking an experienced Health & Safety Advisor/Manager to lead HSE compliance and cultural implementation across a large‑scale, high‑risk construction environment. This role requires a proactive HSE professional with demonstrable experience on complex infrastructure, industrial, data centre, or manufacturing projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead implementation of project‑specific Construction Phase Plan
• Conduct regular site inspections, audits and safety tours
• RAMS (Risk Assessments & Method Statements)
• Temporary works procedures
• Lead incident investigations
• Drive behavioural safety initiatives and positive reporting culture

Required Experience

Proven HSE leadership on:

• Large industrial projects
• Data centres
• Manufacturing facilities
• Infrastructure projects
• High‑risk activities (working at height, HV systems, lifting ops, confined space)
• Comfortable operating in fast‑track programme environment

Qualifications

• NEBOSH Construction Certificate (minimum)
• NEBOSH Diploma (desirable)
