Our 7,500 Switchers combine engineering excellence with cutting‑edge digital tools to deliver complex infrastructure that powers a cleaner, more secure energy future.
This is a site‑based role with office presence in Bridgwater, and relocation support is available for those moving closer. You will oversee specialist low‑voltage communications systems—Public Address & Voice Alarm (PAVA), Distributed Antenna Systems (DAS), and IT/Telecom cabling (RJ45, racks, containment). Acting on behalf of the client, you won’t perform detailed design but will review, manage, and challenge requirements to ensure systems are practical, safe, and constructible. Your work will span from design review to construction support, managing interfaces between multiple designers and contractors.
Key responsibilities include:
- Act as the technical interface for DTV, PAVA, DAS, and IT/Telecom systems.
- Review supplier design deliverables in PDF/2D, ensuring compliance with standards and project requirements.
- Use Navisworks to review 3D integration and assess constructability.
- Manage and challenge Responsible Designer requirements (e.g. socket/telephone spacing, speaker placement).
- Oversee interface management between suppliers (e.g. Telent and INEO) on cabling lengths and containment.
- Support low‑voltage systems integration decisions, assessing risks and providing guidance.
- Ensure technical queries are resolved in a timely and effective manner.
- Collaborate with contractors, internal teams, and stakeholders to align designs with project needs.
- Produce clear technical reports and maintain change control processes.
- Provide support during installation and ensure design solutions remain feasible on site.

Why Apply?
This is a unique opportunity to be part of the UK’s most exciting nuclear project, with exposure to cutting‑edge commissioning work. You’ll join a supportive team environment where growth and upskilling are encouraged—preparing you for future opportunities in SMRs and beyond.
