About Us: Energy Efficient Solutions Group (EESG) was born out of extensive experience in the lighting industry, actively promoting the energy-saving benefits of LED lighting through our organisation, Energy Saving Lighting. From this background, the Group has evolved to further support our clients in their drive towards decarbonisation and Net Zero, providing a wide range of solutions, including LED Lighting, Solar PV, Heating solutions, Electric Vehicle Charging, and Air Purification.
The Role: This is a new role within the LED & Renewables business and is central to the next stage of the Group's development. Reporting to the Head of SHEQ, the Quality Assurance Manager will be responsible for developing, embedding, and governing quality systems, processes, and standards across all LED and renewable operations. The role will ensure quality through robust SOPs, governance frameworks, auditing, and performance monitoring rather than relying on reactive site inspection. The position will work closely with all departments to establish a consistent, auditable, and scalable approach to quality assurance across the business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) & Process Control: Develop, document, and embed clear, Standard Operating Procedures covering all key stages of LED and renewable activities, including survey, design, procurement, installation, commissioning, handover, and maintenance. Ensure SOPs are consistently implemented across operational teams. Review and update SOPs to reflect operational learning, regulatory changes, and business growth.
- Quality Governance Framework: Establish and maintain a formal quality governance structure that defines ownership, accountability, escalation routes, and decision making related to quality. Embed governance controls that provide assurance to senior leadership that quality risks are identified, managed, and reported effectively.
- ISO & Management System Ownership: Act as the primary point of contact for external auditors, certification bodies, and internal stakeholders in relation to ISO and regulatory compliance. Plan and deliver internal audits, management reviews, and corrective actions to ensure ongoing compliance and continuous improvement.
- Site Audits, Quality Measurement & Monitoring: Develop and implement a structured programme of site audits and inspections across LED and renewable projects and maintenance activities. Analyse audit findings, defects, and non‑conformances to identify trends, root causes, and improvement opportunities.
- Stakeholder Engagement & Support: Work closely with operational teams to provide guidance, challenge, and support on quality expectations and standards. Support client audits, inspections, and quality reviews where required.
- Reporting & Assurance: Produce clear, structured quality reports for the Head of SHEQ and senior management, highlighting performance, risks, and improvement actions. Provide assurance that quality controls are effective, embedded, and supporting the long‑term resilience of the LED & Renewables business.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Proven experience in a Quality Assurance or Quality Management role within LED, renewables, construction, M&E, or a similar technical delivery environment.
- Demonstrable experience developing SOPs and embedding governance frameworks within operational businesses.
- Strong working knowledge of ISO management systems and audit processes.
- Experience delivering site audits and implementing measurable quality performance monitoring.
- Confident communicator with the ability to influence, challenge, and support operational teams at all levels.
- Highly organised, analytical, and comfortable operating in a growing and evolving organisation.
Desirable Qualifications:
- ISO Lead Auditor qualification or equivalent.
- Experience supporting multi‑site delivery programmes.
- Strong understanding of the commercial impact of quality on cost, margin, and client satisfaction.
This role is an exciting opportunity to drive service excellence in a rapidly growing sector. If you have a passion for renewable energy and service optimisation, we encourage you to apply.
