Essential Responsibilities:- Provide dedicated guidance and coaching to leaders and employees with specific focus on employee and union relations, employee engagement, performance management, career development, talent assessment, acquisition and retention and workplace investigations.
- Provide people leaders with an available first point of contact for questions and guidance on fundamental HR topics and issues; escalates concerns as required with HR specialists in the Centres of Excellence; navigates employees and manager to HR Services when it is the more appropriate resource.
- Partner with HR Business Partners and Centre of Excellence professionals to execute business‑specific HR strategies.
- Provide advice and counsel to leaders to ensure consistent application of policies, procedures and practices to promote an ethical and compliant work environment.
- Ensure that all employee relations issues are properly identified, reported, investigated and resolved.
- Lead key HR processes including compensation planning and compliance.
- Provide coaching and mentorship to other HR team members to support their growth and development.
- Drive continuous improvement by engaging with lean methodologies, FLIGHT DECK at GE Aerospace, to enhance HR processes and practices.
- Lead site‑wide HR projects, collaborating across multiple client groups to deliver impactful results.
- Develop positive relationships with Trade Union leadership and work collaboratively to solve problems and achieve mutually beneficial outcomes.
- Degree from an accredited university or equivalent proven experience.
- Passionate, employee advocate who wants to make a difference in the organization by helping everyone succeed.
- Approachable and responsive resource able to connect with employees at all levels.
- Strong customer service focus, with a high level of responsiveness.
- Supportive team player with a strong drive to create a positive work environment; ability to diffuse a tense situation and have difficult conversations.
- Applies solid HR judgment ensuring integrity, compliance, & confidentiality.
- Strong interest in innovative HR solutions and process improvement.
- Sound knowledge of UK employment law.
- Detail‑oriented with excellent organizational & documentation skills.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Human Resources.
