Job Description Summary
This position is the controllership lead and support to the GE Engine Services Caledonian overhaul and component repair operations located in Prestwick, Scotland. You will help support the site controller in controllership and accounting activities across the site as well as ensuring proper connection and alignment with GE Aerospace Headquarters.
Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities:

Finance lead for inventory and material function support – accounting for stocks, work in progress, month end settlement routines, coordinate physical inventory annual count, support site inventory projects, control of material transactions, fulfil inventory reporting requirements and reconciliations.

Finance lead for fixed Assets and strategy & project function support – own project approval, tracking and capitalisation process ensuring compliance with GE GAP. Responsibility also includes quarterly asset review and the P&E physical inventory.

Preparation of Statutory Accounts – GE GAP/UK & US GAAP understanding, liaison with external auditors, filing of Company Statutory Accounts.

Provide guidance and support to Internal (GE Aerospace) and External (third party) resources on key remote processes.

Key Support for Monthly Close Process – understanding of balance sheet and processes driving balances/movements and meet reporting datelines.

Key support for preparation of cash forecast – work with material function and project functions to deliver accurate forecasting for inventory and P&E.

Utilizes in-depth knowledge of a discipline and analytical thinking to execute policy/strategy.

Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience, leading relevant projects. Explains information: developing skills to bring team members to consensus around topics within field.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or other business-related field

Strong progressive accounting or finance experience, preferably with Industrial companies.

Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
