We are seeking an experienced Gas Metering Engineer (Low & Medium Pressure) to join our Gas Operations team in the South East. Working in a field-based capacity, you will safely and efficiently deliver metering services across industrial and commercial sites. As one of our expert Metering Engineers, you will represent Energy Assets professionally at all times, ensuring we meet client, business and industry expectations.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Installation, exchange, removal and maintenance of industrial and commercial gas meters (rotary & turbine installations).
- Planned and reactive maintenance activities.
- Conducting site surveys and providing feedback to customers and stakeholders.
- Participation in the national emergency response team.
- Accurate completion of documentation including risk assessments and method statements.
- Personal stock management and effective time management.
- Protecting the public, customer assets and company property at all times.
You will be accountable for your own safety and that of others, working strictly in line with industry codes of practice and internal policies.
We’re looking for a technically strong, safety-focused engineer with a proactive approach and excellent customer-facing skills.
Essential Qualifications & Certifications:
- One commercial core: CMA1 / CESP1 / CCN1
- CMET1 & 2
- ICPN1
- TCPC1
- EUSR SHEA Gas
- Full clean UK driving licence
(Domestic to Commercial changeover candidates with core gas safety certification will also be considered.)
Essential Experience:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in the gas industry.
- Industrial & Commercial metering experience (rotary & turbine).
- Knowledge of downstream pipework and appliances.
- Strong understanding of HSE and Quality Systems.
Desirable:
- Intermediate Pressure experience.
- SCO Core.
- SCO Permit to Work.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
