We are seeking a dynamic and driven Gas & Power Sales Specialist to join our growing team. This role is responsible for developing and executing sales strategies for Energy Aspects’ Europe Gas & Power, North America Gas & Power, and Global LNG research and data services. The successful candidate will focus on new business development and cross-sell opportunities, with an initial focus on gas trading desks, power trading desks of existing managed EA accounts, and USA & European utilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver compelling product demonstrations to prospective and existing clients, showcasing the value and capabilities of EA’s Gas & Power and LNG research and data services.
- Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities within both new and existing client accounts, with a particular focus on gas and power trading desks, and utilities in the USA and Europe.
- Collaborate with the Marketing team to develop and refine commercial collateral, ensuring alignment with sales objectives and market needs.
- Own the new client development portfolio for gas and power trading desks and utilities, building and nurturing relationships to drive revenue growth.
- Work closely with internal teams, including Product, Marketing, and Research, to ensure seamless delivery of client solutions and to support cross-team sales initiatives.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market trends, competitor activity, and client needs to inform sales strategy and product positioning.
- Provide regular updates and insights to the Head of Global Strategic Sales on pipeline development, client feedback, and market opportunities.
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
- Proven experience in B2B sales, ideally within the energy, utilities, or financial services sectors.
- Demonstrable success in developing new business and managing complex sales cycles.
- Experience selling into gas and/or power trading desks, or utilities, is highly desirable.
- Strong presentation and communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders.
- Experience working cross-functionally and across teams in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Willingness to travel as required, primarily within the USA and Europe.
Desirable Skills
- Familiarity with gas, power, or LNG markets, data analytics, or financial intelligence products.
- Experience supporting marketing initiatives and developing sales collateral.
- Understanding of the energy transition and its impact on gas and power markets.
