We are seeking a dynamic Financial Reporting Accountant to join our fast-growing multinational SaaS business. Please note that this is a hybrid role, working flexibly 4 days in office and 1 day from home. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with strong technical, analytical, problem-solving, and organisational skills, capable of optimising financial systems, practices, and processes. As the Finance process champion, the role holder will be a reporting specialist with a focus on driving continuous improvement initiatives across the Finance function.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare consolidated financial statements for the group (for internal and external reporting purposes), ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards (UK GAAP).
- Coordinate with external auditors for the group's annual audit and assist in the preparation of relevant statutory accounts and disclosures.
- Assist in the preparation of the group's quarterly financial report and filings.
- Work closely with finance teams across subsidiaries (internal and external) to gather financial information, ensure consistency and timely management reporting.
- Improve balance sheet reporting and controls.
- Assist with transfer pricing, manage and reconcile intercompany accounts and transactions according to group policy.
- Support the group's budgeting and forecasting processes.
- Analyse budget variances and provide insights to management.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards.
- Identify, develop and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of financial reporting.
- Implementation of ERP systems and to automate, maintain, improve efficiency and accuracy of our accounting systems for reporting purposes.
Requirements
- Professional certification (e.g., ACA, CIMA, ACCA).
- Strong technical accounting skills.
- Implementation of ERP system exposure is highly preferred (e.g. PO systems, expense management system/procure-to-pay automation).
- Advanced Microsoft Excel and Sage Intacct systems exposure preferred.
- Extensive experience in financial accounting, preferably in a UK headquartered multinational organisation, with a focus on group consolidation.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations.
- Ability to support and coordinate on project related tasks.
- Proficiency in accounting software and consolidation tools.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organisational skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Desirable Skills:
- Experience in transition from UK GAAP to IFRS.
- Microsoft PowerBI and PowerPoint.
