Position Summary
The Senior Manager, UK/NDX/SA leads the cluster annual marketing strategy and delivers activation excellence across the UK, Nordics and South Africa, aligning brand initiatives to global and international priorities. They champion category and brand execution, manage the cluster A&P budget, partner with the Business Director and leadership team to drive growth and continuous improvement, evaluate marketing performance to inform recommendations, and lead/develop a high‑performing marketing team.
Responsibilities
- Translates global and international strategic priorities into effective annual marketing plans, including brand communication, media, visibility and consumer promotion programs.
- Develops and executes a cluster‑wide marketing strategy that balances regional consistency with local market relevance.
- Leads a defined UK business scope and owns the delivery of marketing activation plans and operational execution.
- Strengthens brand visibility and market presence in a competitive environment through high‑quality executions, marketing activation excellence and disciplined delivery to drive demand and deliver measurable commercial impact.
- Analyzes and evaluates the performance of marketing investment and initiatives (launches, partnerships, media etc.) to determine performance versus objectives and provide future recommendations.
- Is the category champion and owns brand strategy for the cluster – ensures brands are executed in line with global guidelines across marketing and commercial (positioning, messaging and visual identity across all customer and consumer touchpoints).
- Manages the cluster's A&P budget in line with agreed priorities and limits.
- Sets clear priorities, objectives and KPIs for performance‑driven plans across the markets.
- Leads a team of high‑performing marketers and is responsible for talent development, retention and succession.
- Acts as a key member of the UK/NDX/SA leadership team representing marketing.
- Partners with the business director to provide strategic input on business challenges, growth opportunities and portfolio priorities.
- Establishes strong governance and best practices across planning, execution and reporting and actively looks for ways to streamline, drive efficiency and continuous improvement.
- May be required to take on additional activities outside this scope from time to time.
What we are looking for
- Degree or above in Business, Marketing or a similar discipline.
- Minimum 6 years of solid experience working in consumer goods marketing and sales.
- Worked in a local market and understands the day‑to‑day pressures.
- Proven people leadership experience, has people responsibility and leads the development of others.
- Strategic thinker with ability to move seamlessly between regional planning and hands‑on execution.
- Consumer‑led mindset – able to think consumer first and leverage data to create consumer‑motivating activation plans.
- Brand management and communications experience – has led communication planning from agency brief through to strategy response and evaluation.
- Ability to prioritize.
- Project management – manage multiple initiatives at once.
- Experience in developing annual marketing plans.
- Excellent presentation skills – ability to tell a story or deliver a message in a clear and concise manner.
- Excellent English communication skills – written and spoken.
- Ability to turn analytics into actionable insights that can drive the business.
- Computer skills in Microsoft Office.
- Experience across batteries and auto categories is preferred.
- Alternative language to match the supporting markets is an asset.
- Customer / Trade knowledge across the various groups.
Location
High Wycombe, UK. Required to be in the HW office minimum 3 days a week. May be required to travel (up to 15%). May be required to attend calls outside of 9 am–5 pm because of role time zones.
