Position Summary
The Plant Controller will be responsible for all aspects of finance controllership at the Washington Plant, including monthly financial reporting, product cost updates and analysis, overheads, audits, and internal controls over fixed assets, inventory, and production materials. You will act as a strategic partner to plant leadership by supporting ABP/forecast/cost roadmap development to meet product cost commitments and providing insightful analysis of actual performance vs. plan. You will also support process improvements, standardization initiatives, M&A integration activities, and global projects as defined by the Global Operations Control (GOC) and Global Finance & Controllership teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all accounting operations: cost accounting, month-end close, financial reporting under US GAAP, tax, fixed asset accounting, inventory, and internal controls.
- Analyze variances and provide actionable insights to plant leadership.
- Prepare forecasts and budgets accurately and on time, ensuring high-quality standards of reporting.
- Oversee CapEx controlling and implement new controlling tools for continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with internal and external auditors to ensure compliance with regulations.
- Lead all ad-hoc management accounting and controlling exercises as required.
- Manage, coach, and develop direct reports to enhance team performance.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
- SAP experience is essential.
- Prior experience in plant accounting and/or FMCG environment.
- Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Leadership capabilities: influencing for results, change management, strategic thinking, team leadership, and developing others.
