Position Summary
To provide dedicated Health and Safety support to the Washington Plant.
Responsibilities
- Maintain the Health, Safety, and Environmental Management Systems to ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 standards, including updating and implementing policies and procedures as required.
- Review and update the legal register as required.
- Manage the risk assessment process.
- Oversee first aid arrangements.
- Organise and deliver training.
- Update HSE metrics.
- Write and issue reports as required.
- Write and issue Health and Safety briefings.
- Carry out regular safety audits and tours.
- Conduct Health and Safety & Environmental monitoring and assessments.
- Chair Health and Safety meetings and issue minutes.
- Coordinate accident and incident investigations, maintain logs and statistics, and ensure actions are completed.
- Liaise with the HSE and other regulatory bodies as required.
- Develop and run Health and Safety initiatives.
- Manage PPE.
- Oversee contractor procedures and permits to work.
- Undertake any other duties commensurate with the position as and when required.
What We Are Looking For
- Qualified to a minimum of NEBOSH General Certificate level.
- At least 5 years’ experience in Health, Safety, and Environmental practice within a manufacturing environment.
- Experience as an internal auditor.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Practical auditing experience of ISO 45001 and ISO 14001.
