The Senior Marketing Manager, UK/NDX/SA leads the cluster’s annual marketing strategy and delivers activation excellence across the UK, Nordics, and South Africa, aligning brand initiatives with global and international priorities. This role champions category and brand execution, manages the cluster A&P budget, and partners closely with the Business Director and leadership team to drive growth and continuous improvement. The role also evaluates marketing performance to inform future recommendations and leads the development of a high-performing marketing team.
Responsibilities
- Translate global and international strategic priorities into effective annual marketing plans, including brand communication, media, visibility, and consumer promotion programs.
- Develop and execute a cluster-wide marketing strategy that balances regional consistency with local market relevance.
- Lead a defined UK business scope and own the delivery of marketing activation plans and operational execution.
- Strengthen brand visibility and market presence in a competitive environment through high-quality execution and disciplined delivery that drives demand and measurable commercial impact.
- Analyse and evaluate the performance of marketing investments and initiatives (launches, partnerships, media, etc.) against objectives and provide recommendations for future improvements.
- Act as the category champion and own brand strategy for the cluster, ensuring alignment with global brand guidelines across all commercial and consumer touchpoints.
- Manage the cluster A&P budget in line with agreed priorities and limits.
- Set clear priorities, objectives, and KPIs to support performance-driven marketing plans across the markets.
- Lead and develop a team of high-performing marketers, supporting talent development, retention, and succession planning.
- Serve as a key member of the UK/NDX/SA leadership team, representing marketing.
- Partner with the Business Director to provide strategic input on business challenges, growth opportunities, and portfolio priorities.
- Establish strong governance and best practices across planning, execution, and reporting while driving efficiency and continuous improvement.
- Support additional activities outside the defined scope when required.
What We Are Looking For
- Degree (or higher) in Business, Marketing, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 6 years of experience in consumer goods marketing and sales.
- Experience working in a local market environment with an understanding of day-to-day commercial pressures.
- Proven people leadership experience with responsibility for developing and leading others.
- Strategic thinker able to move seamlessly between regional planning and hands-on execution.
- Strong consumer-led mindset, using insights and data to drive impactful activation plans.
- Brand management and communications experience, including leading agency briefings through to strategy execution and evaluation.
- Strong prioritisation and project management skills, managing multiple initiatives simultaneously.
- Excellent presentation and storytelling skills.
- Strong English communication skills (written and spoken).
- Ability to turn analytics into actionable business insights.
- Experience across batteries or automotive categories is preferred.
- Additional languages relevant to the supporting markets are an advantage.
- Customer and trade knowledge across relevant channel groups.
Location & Requirements
- Location: High Wycombe, UK.
- Hybrid: Minimum 3 days per week in the office.
- Travel: Up to 15% may be required.
- Occasional calls outside 9:00–17:00 due to international time zones.
