Position Summary
To provide dedicated Health and Safety support to the Washington Plant.
Responsibilities
- Maintain the Health, Safety, and Environmental Management Systems to ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 standards, including updating and implementing policies and procedures as required
- Review and update the legal register as required
- Manage the risk assessment process
- Oversee first aid arrangements
- Organise and deliver training
- Update HSE metrics
- Write and issue reports as required
- Write and issue Health and Safety briefings
- Carry out regular safety audits and tours
- Conduct Health and Safety & Environmental monitoring and assessments
- Chair Health and Safety meetings and issue minutes
- Coordinate accident and incident investigations, maintain logs and statistics, and ensure actions are completed
- Liaise with the HSE and other regulatory bodies as required
- Develop and run Health and Safety initiatives
- Manage PPE
- Oversee contractor procedures and permits to work
- Undertake any other duties commensurate with the position as and when required
What We Are Looking For
- Qualified to a minimum of NEBOSH Diploma level
- At least 5 years\β experience in Health, Safety, and Environmental practice within a manufacturing environment
- Experience as an internal auditor
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Practical auditing experience of ISO 45001 and ISO 14001
