The predicted salary is between 30000 - 48000 £ per year.

Provide technical engineering support in all production areas, and R&D, whilst striving for best practice in all aspects of the process and its application. A driver regarding quality and efficiency issues, formulating and delivering improvement plans, and driving change such that output, quality, cost and technology improvement targets are achieved within agreed limits and time-scales

Responsibilities

  • Technical support for production processes
  • Drive Product Development projects in conjunction with the Technology Centre
  • Process ownership – driving to achieve best practice / error-proof process solutions
  • Use systematic techniques to improve process capability – SPC, FMEA, KT, MSA, Process Models, capability studies, etc.
  • Strive to simplify, reduce or eliminate process steps to reduce overall process throughput time where possible
  • Feedback issues to other team members and develop robust corrective actions
  • Ensure sufficient throughput capacity to achieve Business requirements. Work with other Departments to achieve capacity plans
  • Ensure adherence to all applicable HSE requirements when introducing process change
  • Promote and maintain a safe working environment
  • Responsibility for the management, planning and implementation of process and product development projects
  • Drive process and material cost reduction programs.
  • Embody professionalism and apply high standards in all aspects of work
  • Take responsibility for personal development
  • Maintain constructive rapport with all departments
  • Pro-active participation in company improvement schemes

Any other duties commensurate with the position as and when required.

What we are looking for

  • Minimum of three years related experience in a production/manufacturing environment preferred
  • Clear, precise and articulate communication skills – both written and oral
  • Dependable and adaptable when business needs necessitate
  • Ability to work with people of all levels within the organization
  • A team player but also capable of working alone
  • Punctual and committed to the Business needs
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks and additional work
  • Ability to manage time effectively

Experience with Minitab, SAP and Infinity

Familiarity with working with chemicals in a lab environment

Knowledge of statistical process control, calibration and gauge maintenance

Experience with Injection Moulding would be desirable
