Senior Electrical Estimator in Glasgow

I’m working with an established power engineering business that is looking to add an experienced Senior Electrical Estimator to its team.

This is a key role within the business, supporting the delivery of major HV substation and renewable energy projects and playing a significant part in securing new work.

The Role

You’ll take ownership of electrical estimates and tenders from initial scope through to submission, working closely with engineering, commercial and project teams.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Preparing electrical estimates and cost take-offs for HV and renewable projects.
• Reviewing technical specifications and Employer’s Requirements.
• Coordinating tenders and ensuring on-time submissions.
• Preparing technical submissions, including scope, clarifications and programmes.
• Managing supplier/subcontractor quotations and pricing.
• Identifying commercial risks and project issues.
• Attending post-tender meetings and supporting project handovers.

What We're Looking For:

• Electrical Engineering, Building Services, Construction Economics, Quantity Surveying or similar qualification.
• 5 years' construction industry experience, ideally including 2+ years in a senior estimating position.
• Experience within Power, HV or Renewables.
• Experience estimating HV substations, electrical infrastructure or renewable energy projects.
