Energis is currently recruiting for a Design Engineer on behalf of our engineering client based in Co. Down. This role offers flexible working arrangements, with the option to work full-time in the office or on a hybrid basis from home. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engineering design solutions across a variety of multi-disciplinary projects. You will be involved throughout the full project lifecycle, from initial scope development and concept design through to detailed design and installation support. Applications are welcomed from both junior/graduate-level engineers and experienced Senior Design Engineers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Produce engineering design deliverables for a range of projects in collaboration with the wider engineering team.
- Provide technical support and guidance throughout project execution.
- Liaise directly with clients to understand project requirements and develop effective design solutions.
- Attend client sites to gather project data and assess operational needs.
- Prepare detailed 2D and 3D engineering designs in line with relevant ISO standards.
- Review and approve design packages prepared by other team members where appropriate.
- Present design proposals at internal and external review meetings.
- Develop and maintain Design Risk Assessments in compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.
Criteria:
- Proficiency in 2D and 3D design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and/or SolidWorks.
- Previous design experience within a mechanical engineering, manufacturing, or construction environment.
- Third level engineering related qualification is desirable.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative engineering team.
