Based in Co Antrim, our client manufactures products for the construction sector and is currently seeking a HSEQ Officer to join their existing HSEQ team.

The successful HSEQ Officer will be responsible for the continuous improvement of the HSEQ Management System across 2 sites in the Co Antrim / Belfast areas.
You will promote a positive and proactive safety culture through engagement, leadership, empowerment and accountability.
Responsibilities: Maintain, develop and audit the integrated HSEQ Management system to ensure a culture of continuous improvement is sustained.
Utilise the internal auditing process to ensure company compliance with regulatory requirements, HSEQ best practice, environmental permits/consents and all applicable standards; leading the external audits where required Maintain strong working relationships with all internal and external regulators and stakeholders Assist in ensuring the delivery of suitable HSEQ instruction, information and training Proactively monitor and enforce HSEQ compliance across the sites, and advise on suitable control measures Assist in the implementation and continual review of HSEQ policies, procedures and risk assessments ensuring adequate control and compliance with relevant legislation/guidance Assist site management in the investigation of all accidents, incidents, dangerous occurrences, non-conformances and near misses.
Provide advice on suitable improvement and corrective action/s.
Assess environmental impacts and support targets to reduce Co2 emissions, direct and indirect waste, energy consumption and water usage Assist in maintaining contractor approval system and ensure stringent contractor control procedures are followed.
Criteria: Previous relevant experience working in Health & Safety within manufacturing, engineering, construction or similar environment Good IT skills NEBOSH Certification / Diploma is desirable Accredited Internal Auditor for HSEQ Management Systems would be highly desirable Salary on offer is in the region of £30-35k depending upon experience.
