Based in Co Antrim, our client operates within the civil engineering sector and is currently seeking an experienced Sales Manager to join their team. As the Sales Manager you will manage a small team driving sales performance and achieving revenue targets. You will build and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, and key stakeholders within the civil engineering industry.
Job responsibilities:
- Identify and develop new business opportunities, expanding the customer base and strengthening the company’s position in the market.
- Work closely with internal teams and logistics to ensure customer satisfaction and seamless delivery of services.
- Provide precise cost estimates for civil engineering and construction projects to support competitive and profitable tender submissions.
- Lead the bid and tendering process to secure new projects, ensuring all submissions align with client requirements and company standards.
- Work closely with clients, contractors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure clarity and efficiency in the estimating and bidding processes.
- Support business development by identifying trends, opportunities, and strategies to enhance the company’s market position.
- Regularly report on sales performance, market insights, and forecasts to line Manager.
- Lead, motivate, and train sales teams to achieve goals, ensuring alignment with the company’s vision.
- Ensure all sales activities comply with industry regulations and company policies.
Criteria:
- Proven experience and strong ability in sales within the engineering or construction sectors.
- Ability to deal professionally with customers/clients.
- Ability to read drawings.
- Good organisational and time management skills, with ability to prioritise a busy work schedule.
Salary is negotiable depending upon experience and in the region of £50-60k. The role comes with an excellent benefits package including bonus, life insurance, healthcare and pension.
