Our client, a long-established and highly regarded engineering business based in Co. Down, continues to experience strong growth. As a result, they are seeking an additional Quality Inspector to join their team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced quality professional to play a key role in ensuring products meet the highest standards of accuracy, safety, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform detailed visual and dimensional inspections to verify compliance with design specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements.
  • Ensure all products meet relevant industry standards, customer specifications, and internal quality procedures.
  • Work closely with production, engineering, and installation teams, providing feedback and supporting the resolution of quality issues.
  • Conduct routine audits on surface preparation, coating processes, and assembly/installation to maintain consistent quality.
  • Maintain accurate inspection records, audit reports, and corrective action documentation.
  • Support the development and implementation of quality control processes and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain inspection tools and equipment, ensuring all calibrations are current.
  • Ensure all activities are carried out in compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Criteria
  • Proven experience as a Quality Inspector within a manufacturing or construction environment.
  • Proficiency with inspection tools and equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to work.
  • Good communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, engineering specifications, and quality documentation.
  • Basic computer skills for data entry and reporting.
  • Experience in paint, shot blasting, or surface preparation processes is highly advantageous.
