Due to a period of growth, Energis is recruiting for a Production Manager for our busy local engineering client. The successful Production Manager will manage the production facility ensuring the optimisation of throughput and efficiency, ensuring customer expectations are met in full.
The successful candidate will need to be self-motivated and driven, looking to build a long term career in a successful and expanding business.
Responsibilities:
- Lead, motivate and manage workshop employees, with a positive and collaborative approach.
- Develop and implement production schedules to meet timescales.
- Implement and optimise business processes to enhance productivity.
- Ensure that the production team are working safely and health and safety policies are being followed.
- Set clear objectives for production team with respect to volume, cost, quality and meeting schedules and delivery dates.
- Develop continuous improvement plans in line with organisational objectives.
Criteria:
- Previous relevant experience as a Production Manager within a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to meet strict deadlines in a pressurised environment.
- Strong problem solving and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
- Knowledge of continuous improvement and lean manufacturing techniques.
- Willingness to be hands on when required.
Salary is in the region of £35-45k depending upon experience, package includes bonus and healthcare plan and an early Friday Finish!
