Energis is currently recruiting for a Management Accountant to join our engineering client based in Co Down. Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will be responsible for all aspects of financial management, providing accurate financial reporting and analysis to track performance and influence business decisions.
Responsibilities:
- Managing the day-to-day finance function on site
- Preparation of monthly reports (P&L, Balance Sheet)
- Monthly reports on project progress, cashflow and debtors
- Payroll supervision & reporting
- Accounts Payable: management of supplier payments process
- Debtors management of monthly sales process & reporting
- Banking reconciliations & cashflow management
- Monthly journals nominal reconciliations & control accounts (Debtors & Creditors)
- Preparation & submission of all VAT returns & other Revenue requirements
Criteria:
- Qualified / part qualified accountant with min 3 years relevant experience in industry
- Advanced MS office skills with the ability to analyse & manipulate large data sets
- Demonstrate a strong commercial awareness
- Excellent communication skills & the ability to interact with diverse project groups
- Proficient in the use of ERP financial systems
- Keen eye for detail & be organised
- Strong analytical and interpretive skills, ability to deliver financial data in a user friendly and relevant manner
Salary is negotiable and in line with experience.
