Energis is currently recruiting for a Mechanical Design Engineer for our manufacturing client based near Portadown. The successful Engineer will work within the Mechanical Engineering Department to design, develop and validate new products to meet distributor and end customer requirements. This is an excellent opportunity for a graduate engineer with ~1 years experience looking to develop their career with a well-established manufacturing business.
Responsibilities:
- Utilise 3D software to update designs and create new design concepts
- Design in accordance with appropriate guidelines and legislation
- Participate in concept and design discussion meetings
- Utilise the design document management system
- Create BOMs and assembly instructions
- Conduct validation testing
- Liaise with production staff to aid manufacturing
- Assist with provision of technical information and advice to sales, after sales and end customers
- Visit suppliers and customers both locally and overseas
Criteria:
- Third level Engineering qualification, ideally with ~1 years previous design experience within heavy engineering / manufacturing
- Proficient in Solidworks
- Excellent communication skills
- Proficient with MS Office applications
- Able to work independently or in a team environment
Salary is in the region of £29/30k depending upon experience.
