Our client is an engineering company based in Mallusk. Due to an increase in workload they are now seeking to recruit a Workshop Supervisor to join the team.
As the successful Workshop Supervisor, you will oversee the manufacturing process, and also manage a small team in the safe and efficient use of punching, guillotine, folding and labelling machines.
Hours of work are 37.5 per week, Monday – Thursday 8.30am – 4.45pm, Friday 8.30am – 3.30pm.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure production packs and kits are complete.
- Ensure product is tested and readied for despatch and that internal checklists are completed in line with policy prior to despatch.
- Manage the day-to-day operation and accompanying processes of a small workshop team including holiday requests, sickness, allocation of projects, timesheets, testing of panels etc.
- Alongside the HSEQ manager, ensure that the workshop is a safe working environment.
- Liaise with the Project dept. in terms of deliveries, stock items etc.
- General housekeeping, cleaning and tidiness of workshop area, wrapping & packing of finished control panels and the loading & unloading of delivery vehicles.
Criteria:
- Previous relevant experience in a production / workshop environment.
- A familiarity with sheet metal work / basic engineering processes.
- Full clean driving license.
- Fork Truck license would be an advantage.
- A knowledge and understanding of standard electrical components would be an advantage.
