Based in the outskirts of Belfast in Co Down, our busy engineering client is seeking applications for the post of Estimator. The successful Estimator will join a well-established team and as such will have an excellent support network. You will be responsible for reviewing enquiries and the preparation of estimates and associated quotations.
Responsibilities:
- Review quote & tender enquiry packs received to ensure that relevant information is available for pricing
- Compile and send out quotations that match their specifications
- Liaise with clients to request additional information
- Compile specific product information to send to customers as and when required
- Follow up with customers within a set time period
- Ensure all relevant information is saved accurately and accessible
- Prepare handover files to project delivery team for secured projects
Criteria:
- A minimum of 2 years previous relevant experience as an estimator
- Ability to read engineering drawings
- Good Microsoft Office skills to include Excel, Word
- Demonstrate good attention to detail
- A third level engineering / surveying qualification is highly desirable
Salary is in the region of £30 – 40k depending upon experience. Working hours are 9-5 with an early finish on Friday!
