Energis is seeking a Workshop Engineer to join our Co Down based client. The successful Workshop Engineer will be responsible for the inspection, repair, overhaul, testing, and refurbishment of a range of mechanical equipment, ensuring all equipment is returned to service efficiently, safely, and in line with Quality and HSQE standards. This is primarily a workshop based role with occasional site attendance as required.
Responsibilities:
- Dismantle, inspect and clean, fault diagnosis, and rebuild
- Bearing replacement and shaft inspection
- Motor inspection
- Pressure testing and operational testing of completed rebuilds
- Input into Service Reports with findings and recommendations
- Identify additional repair requirements and report to Service Supervisor
- Complete job sheets accurately and on time
- Input into parts required
- Maintain workshop quality standards in line with ISO management systems
Criteria:
- NVQ Level 3 (or above) in Mechanical Engineering with previous mechanical experience
- Machining experience desirable
- Strong fault-finding ability
- Ability to read mechanical drawings
- Experience using workshop machinery and hand tools
- Good understanding of safe practices
- Full clean driving licence
- Strong attention to detail
- Safety-focused
- Organised and methodical
- Ability to work under time pressure
