Energis is currently recruiting for a Graduate Design Engineer for our engineering client operating in the water / construction sectors. The successful Design Engineer will have the option of working full time in the office, or part time from home. As the successful Design Engineer you will produce specific engineering design deliverables for a range of multi-disciplinary projects. You will be involved in the project from initial scope development, through detailed design and installation. Training will be provided.
Responsibilities:
- Liaise with clients to identify exact requirements
- Attend site-based surveys to understand project needs, gathering information and data to inform the optimum design solution
- In conjunction with other disciplines on the project, manage detailed design tasks to client stage and approval specifications
- Manage the production of design deliverables for specified projects alongside other team members and contribute technical guidance to projects as required
- Produce detailed designs in accordance with sector norms and ISO standards using Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD
- Check/Approve design packages produced by other designers
- Present designs at internal review meetings and external client review meetings such as HAZOP’s and Technical Authority reviews
- Develop, maintain and be responsible for Design Risk Assessments in accordance with statutory obligations and company policy
Criteria:
- Proficient 2D and 3D modelling (AutoCAD / Revit / Solidworks)
- Previous design experience ideally within a mechanical engineering or construction environment
- Strong communication skills and ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and other stakeholders
- Third level qualification in an engineering discipline
