Our client, a well-established and growing engineering company based in Co. Antrim, is seeking a part time Credit Controller to join their finance team. Reporting to the Finance Manager, the successful candidate will play a key role within the finance function.
The Credit Controller is responsible for managing and monitoring incoming payments, ensuring accuracy of financial transactions, maintaining customer records, and resolving payment discrepancies.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage and monitor customer credit accounts
- Assess creditworthiness and set credit limits
- Ensure timely collection of outstanding invoices
- Follow up on overdue accounts via phone, email, and statements
- Resolve billing disputes and invoice queries efficiently
- Prepare aging reports and cash collection forecasts
- Reduce debtor days (DSO) and minimise bad debt
- Maintain accurate customer and payment records
- Liaise with sales, finance, and customer service teams
- Support month-end reporting and audits
- Previous experience in credit control or accounts receivable
- Strong Excel and reporting skills
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
