About the Role
The Cross Commodity Trader reports to the Long Term Trading Operations Manager with Energia. This role offers an exciting career opportunity within a dynamic and challenging environment for a driven and committed individual.
Responsibilities of the Front Office team include trade analysis and execution, portfolio optimisation and the daily trading operations required to participate in the Irish energy markets.

Responsibilities
- Perform trade analysis and execution across Irish energy markets.
- Optimise portfolio and manage daily trading operations.
- Manage high‑value trades daily based on commodity fundamentals (supply, demand, seasonality, geopolitics).
- Present findings and clear recommendations to senior management.
- Collaborate effectively within the trading team.
Qualifications
- Degree with a strong numerical, analytical, or financial focus and at least 3 years of experience in an energy trading environment.
- Excellent numeric and analytical ability, capable of presenting findings and clear recommendations to senior management.
- Proficient in MS Office, trading and risk management systems.
- Meticulous attention to detail, with the ability to manage high‑value trades daily based on a deep understanding of commodity fundamentals (supply, demand, seasonality, geopolitics).
- Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to work effectively within a team.
