The Role:
You will join a collaborative Group Tax team responsible for managing tax compliance, reporting, and planning across a diverse and evolving energy business. The team works closely with finance and senior stakeholders to ensure robust tax processes, strong governance, and timely delivery of all obligations. As a Tax Assistant, you will play a key supporting role, gaining exposure to a wide range of tax areas while developing both your technical and commercial understanding. We actively support learning and development, providing opportunities to work towards a relevant professional qualification where appropriate.
Qualifications:
- A degree in a relevant discipline or a relevant professional qualification (part qualified considered).
- Demonstrable working knowledge of key financial concepts, processes and controls such as financial statements, reconciliations, or experience supporting month-end processes or tax/VAT compliance, ideally gained through academic study, placements or relevant finance experience.
- Strong attention to numerical detail and analytical acumen.
