Contract Full Time – 12 Months Working Hours 37 hours Monday to Friday Hybrid Working 2 days working from the office and 3 days working from home About the role Energia, part of Energia Group, have an exciting opportunity for a Trading Placement Student based in Belfast. This a 12-month placement role within Energia Trading starting in August 2025. The successful candidate will quickly become an integral and trusted member of the Trading teams and provide key operational and support activities. With a positive attitude and willingness to learn, the student will be given every opportunity to acquire new skills and gain valuable working knowledge of forecasting, data analysis, machine learning and trading activities. About you Studying towards an honours degree in a discipline with a high level of numerical, financial or IT content or a related field and have completed Year 2 by July 2025. Module results to date must have a combined average in excess of 50 percent. All modules and results, including Autumn / Winter 2024 Semester results, must be listed on your CV. IT literate with a sound working knowledge of MS Excel. Any experience of using any computer languages and analytical tools such as: Python, R, Matlab, SQL, PowerBI etc would be beneficial.
