The Role

Energia Group have an exciting opportunity for a Commercial Lawyer based in Belfast. This opportunity offers a dynamic blend of high-level commercial contract work alongside cutting-edge legal issues in the tech and energy sectors. You’ll join a leading in-house team within the energy sector. This role spans two key areas:

  • Contracts & Technology - Advising on a wide range of commercial contracts (e.g. SaaS agreements, software licensing agreements, confidentiality agreements, work orders, change orders, standard terms and conditions of supply), and legal issues including in relation to intellectual property and emerging areas such as AI and NIS 2.
  • Energy & Regulation - Working as part of a cross-departmental team on regulatory and commercial contracts within the energy sector, including renewables, infrastructure, and sustainability-driven projects.

What you'll need:

  • 5+ years PQE in commercial law, ideally with experience in commercial contracts, IP / IT, or energy.
  • A commercial mindset and strong contract drafting skills.

  • A proactive, collaborative approach to working with colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Self-motivated, highly driven individual who can manage their own workload.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to effectively communicate complex legal concepts to business colleagues.
