- Lead client oversight of construction risk management, including temporary works, lifting operations, traffic management, contractor performance and emergency preparedness.
- Proactively identify constructability, sequencing and access constraints, driving early resolution with contractors, designers and project teams.
- In conjunction with the employer appointed Owners Engineer, carefully administer construction contracts on behalf of the client, managing variations, interim payments, extensions of time and final accounts, and ensuring consistent application of contract conditions.
- Support commercial negotiations and manage construction claims and disputes, providing input to risk and opportunity management.
- Oversee construction quality control and ensure compliance with employers' requirements and company construction standards.
- Manage construction-phase stakeholder interfaces, acting as liaison with ESB Networks, EirGrid / DNOs, Local Authorities and landowners to coordinate approvals, site access, outages and grid connection.
