About the Role: The Assistant Accountant position sits within the Energia Customer Solutions Business unit and reports to a Senior Accountant within the Gross Margin Team (within the Energia Finance Team). The ideal candidate will have strong basic accounts skills.
- Completion of a wide range of P&L and BS reconciliations, including variance analysis.
- Preparation of bi-monthly VAT returns and RCT notifications.
- Assistance in preparation and reconciliation of regulatory returns.
- Extraction and analysis of data from our billing system.
- Cash flow analysis & forecasting.
- Assist in internal & external audits.
- Ad-hoc analysis as required.
About you: Key Criteria What You’ll Need:
- Previous experience working in a finance related discipline.
- Excellent attention to detail and data accuracy.
- Demonstrable experience in the proficient use of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Desirable Criteria - These help decide between those who meet all the above key criteria:
- Accounting Technician qualification and/or partial professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA or CIMA).
- Experience using SAP and Workday.
