We’re seeking a Principal Mechanical Engineer to join our clients dynamic team in the UK. This is a fantastic opportunity to take a leading role in delivering intelligent, sustainable solutions across a diverse range of sectors including Residential, Commercial, Healthcare, Science & Research, and Mission Critical/Data Centres.
About the Role
As a Senior/Principal Engineer, you’ll be at the forefront of mechanical design and project leadership. You’ll work within a multidisciplinary team of engineers and consultants, delivering high-quality services to clients and driving repeat and new business opportunities.
You’ll be responsible for:
- Leading mechanical design on complex projects and coordinating across disciplines.
- Acting as the main point of contact for clients, fostering strong relationships and identifying future opportunities.
- Supporting and mentoring a high-performing local team, contributing to staff development and technical excellence.
- Managing project resources, budgets, and timelines to ensure successful delivery.
- Promoting the full range of services offered and contributing to bid preparation and business development.
About You
To thrive in this role, you’ll bring:
- Proven experience as a Mechanical Engineer, ideally within a consultancy environment.
- Strong understanding of HVAC systems and mechanical services.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with experience working in multidisciplinary teams.
- Proficiency in design tools such as Revit and AutoCAD.
- A proactive, open-minded approach and a passion for sustainable design.
- Familiarity with British Standards and complementary disciplines such as acoustics, fire engineering, and environmental modelling.
