The Opportunity
We are seeking a talented Senior/Principal Electrical Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role offers the chance to lead and deliver high–quality electrical engineering services on a variety of exciting projects. You will work closely with clients, project teams, and other disciplines to ensure successful project execution from concept to completion.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Leadership: Manage medium–sized projects and multiple smaller projects, ensuring timely and budget–compliant delivery.
- Client Engagement: Act as the primary point of contact for clients, providing expert advice and ensuring their requirements are met.
- Design and Coordination: Develop and coordinate engineering project services for electrical installations, systems, and equipment.
- Technical Oversight: Conduct engineering calculations, validate designs, and ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Mentorship: Support and guide junior engineers, fostering a collaborative and innovative team environment.
- Site Support: Perform site inspections, QA/QC checks, and witness testing to ensure alignment with design intent.
Skills & Qualifications
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent (Chartered Engineer status preferred).
- Extensive experience in electrical design within the building services sector.
- Proficiency in design software such as Revit, Bluebeam, and Trimble/AMTECH.
- Strong knowledge of BS standards, CDM Regulations, and Health & Safety legislation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead client meetings and collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
