A Leading M&E Engineering Consultancy based in London are looking for a Senior Environmental Consultant to join their team.
As the Environmental Consultant you will be someone who has a keen interest in Energy and Sustainability, an awareness of environmental issues and current legislation, and who is able to grasp energy related reporting with an analytical approach to decipher information and process accordingly.
Responsibilities:
- Utilities consumption data gathering and processing.
- Carry out Energy Auditing of properties, developing an understanding of building services and controls and identifying energy-saving measures.
- Assist with technical feasibility projects.
- Carry out site investigations into utility metering and infrastructure, advise on improvements.
- Produce energy and sustainability reports for prestige offices and property portfolios.
- Review and create smart metering reporting.
- Liaise with utility suppliers and clients.
- Undertake site surveys of commercial properties (offices, retail, industrial) for the purpose of producing EPCs (non-domestic) and DECs (not required).
- Enter data from site surveys into modelling software (SBEM / other).
- Undertake modelling to ensure accurate and optimal asset rating achieved.
- Development and enhancement of data capture and modelling processes to be used for EPC/DEC work.
- Assist with ESOS assessments (Lead Assessor qualification not required).
- Assist with TM44 Air Conditioning Systems Inspections (not required).
Academic Qualifications:
- BEng / BSc / HND.
- Membership of Institution: CIBSE / EI / RICS (affiliate).
Training (essential):
- CIBSE Low Carbon Consultant, Qualified Energy Assessor at level 3 /4 (SBEM).
Background/Training (preferred):
- Energy / Environmental background or interest.
- Building Services / HVAC knowledge.
- Non-Domestic Energy Assessor Level 5 (DSM).
- Understanding of Building Regs (Part L).
- ISO: 50001 auditing.
- BREEAM AP.
- Fitwel Ambassador.
IT Knowledge:
- MS Word (Intermediate/Advanced) – Required.
- MS Excel (Intermediate/Advanced) – Required.
- SBEM / IES / other EPC NCM-based software.
