We are currently seeking a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to lead and manage junior staff, oversee project delivery from concept through to completion, and ensure effective coordination across engineering, management, and client‑facing responsibilities. This role is ideal for someone experienced in both hands‑on design and leadership within a consultancy environment.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver electrical design and project management for a range of building projects
- Lead and support the electrical engineering team, mentoring junior engineers
- Oversee and manage design production including specifications, drawings, schedules, and cost estimates
- Liaise with clients, attend project meetings, and manage project communications
- Conduct site surveys, inspections, and produce technical reports
- Monitor and control project budgets and timelines
- Ensure quality assurance procedures and engineering standards are met
- Use industry‑standard design software as part of daily responsibilities
- Contribute to the development of internal engineering standards and best practices
- Assist in business development by maintaining strong client relationships
- Strong understanding of current UK Building Regulations
- Experience working in building services consultancy or contractor design teams
