My client is looking for a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join their team on a 12-month contract, supporting a range of complex and high-profile projects.
As a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer you will be responsible for:
- Managing smaller projects and supporting the coordination of larger multidisciplinary schemes.
- Producing high-quality mechanical design deliverables and reviewing technical documentation.
- Leading and supporting quality assurance activities, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
- Working closely with clients to resolve technical and quality-related issues.
- Identifying changes in project scope and assisting with fee variation proposals.
- Monitoring project resources and highlighting potential resourcing requirements.
- Supporting digital engineering standards and contributing to continuous process improvements.
- Maintaining relevant professional licences and actively pursuing ongoing professional development.
Requirements:
- Significant mechanical design experience at a senior level within commercial projects, including new-build, refurbishment, and fit-out schemes.
- Experience within laboratory, light industrial, and/or hotel sectors is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of Building Services Engineering systems and sustainable, low-carbon design principles.
- Design & Build (D&B) project experience would be advantageous.
- Proficient in relevant engineering design software.
