A client of mine is looking for an Electrical Engineer to join them in Bristol.

This is an excellent opportunity for skilled electrical engineer to join them at their Birmingham office to play a key role in ensuring the successful delivery of innovative electrical design solutions for some of the most exciting building projects in the UK and internationally.

Working across a variety of sectors including Government, Critical Systems, Healthcare, Workplace and Residential, you will work in a team of expert engineers and technicians, and work closely with colleagues of various disciplines to help manage the delivery of technically-excellent, profitable projects for high profile public and private clients.

You'll have the opportunity over time to assume greater levels of responsibility and autonomy as your professional skills develop and with accredited professional development programmes from CIBSE and IET, you'll be fully supported towards achieving chartership.

You will be working in a team that work collaboratively, have a high-performance culture and believe that each member is vital to the team, office and business. Working with the team leaders areas of development will be agreed targeted, providing exposure to facets of engineering that will help you develop your skill set.

The Skills

Educated to degree level in Electrical or Building Services Engineering (MEng or BEng or equivalent), and having gained relevant experience within a consultancy environment (design and coordination of electrical distribution and power generation, lighting, security systems etc), you are already well versed in the use of relevant design software including ProDesign (Amtech) and ideally, Revit and Dialux.

You have proven ability in producing low energy design solutions, carrying out site inspections and surveys, detail design development, and crucially – you have a passion for creative and intuitive design.

Given the collaborative and client focused nature of this role, excellent communication skills and experience of using your initiative to overcome challenges are essential.
