Overview
This role is for an Intermediate Electrical Design Engineer to join a dynamic M&E design team. This role involves supporting senior design engineers in delivering Electrical Services Design across the full project lifecycle. The successful candidate will work on a variety of projects, including education, residential, commercial, leisure, and decarbonisation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
- Undertake electrical design tasks and assist project managers across various project types
- Provide electrical engineering support to the broader design team
- Attend client meetings and maintain professional communication
- Carry out site surveys and inspections
- Produce detailed reports, condition assessments, and specifications
- Assist in creating tender packages and analyzing returned tenders
- Support with budget costings for services
- Ensure work aligns with company standards, procedures, and relevant regulations
- Use industry-standard design software and tools
- Support the development and mentoring of junior team members
- Collaborate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders
Skills & Attributes

- Must hold a full UK driving licence
Experience Required
- Production of electrical specifications and design calculations (manual and software-based)
- Familiarity with current Building Regulations and applicable planning standards
- Experience with manual drawing mark-ups and basic AutoCAD
- Working knowledge of Bluebeam, Revit (advantageous), and tender process documentation
- Exposure to producing budget estimates and supporting procurement processes
- Previous experience conducting site surveys and inspections
- Understanding of CIBSE Guides, CDM Regulations, British Standards, Building Regulations, and IEE Regulations
- Experience with BIM workflows and Revit (preferred)
Education & Qualifications
- HNC or similar qualification in a relevant field (or higher)
