I’m working with a well-established, forward-thinking consultancy that delivers high-quality, multi-disciplinary building services projects across the UK. They offer a genuinely supportive, people-focused culture where collaboration, progression and professional growth are central to everything they do. They are currently seeking an Intermediate Mechanical Design Engineer, and the role is based in Nottingham.
This is an excellent opportunity to take real ownership of mechanical design delivery across a diverse range of building projects, working closely with multi-disciplinary teams and contributing to innovative, efficient and technically robust mechanical solutions.

The role:
- Produce detailed mechanical designs for a variety of building services projects
- Deliver projects on time, within budget and to high technical standards
- Develop cost-effective and energy-efficient mechanical engineering solutions
- Attend client meetings and support project briefing and coordination
- Prepare technical reports, specifications and design documentation
- Carry out site inspections and produce mechanical condition reports
- Collaborate closely with electrical, sustainability and other design teams
- Use mechanical design tools including AutoCAD, Revit and relevant HVAC/MEP calculation software
What you’ll need:
- A degree in Mechanical or Building Services Engineering
- Hands-on experience in mechanical design within building services
- Strong proficiency with mechanical design software and modelling tools
- Excellent communication and coordination skills
- The ability to obtain UK SC Clearance (essential due to project requirements)
